So Long, Farewell...

Well, I'm off today to the STF. (Some might make the point that I'm just "off")

I am VERY excited to go see my family and hear the wonderful tales from the professional storytellers. YES, there are such things as professional storytellers. They are amazing. I will be hearing everything from fairytales to raps - and sometimes fairytales done as raps. And I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you want to read more about the Timpanogos Storytelling Festival, please go to their website and read about it. Maybe you live closer and would like to attend the National Storytelling Festival - well, I would just be jealous about that, although I would argue that we have a more beautiful backdrop for it. They ARE sponsored by Krispy Kreme doughnuts, though, so that might give them a bit of an edge.

Anyhow - no blogs til Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll ask Whit where the children are staying - cause I would LOVE for you to be here, too.

Amy and I just went "underwear" shopping - didn't quite get everything, but close....

STF was WONDERFUL!!! I'm not certain which I enjoyed more - the festival activities or being with my family - oh, yes, FAMILY!!!

It's a wonderful part of life to have grown, intelligent, kind, compassionate children - thanks for making in so great!

Whit, when you were at the storytelling festival did you hear a guy named Ed Stivender? My friend Doug use to be on the board of directors of the Washington DC Storytelling Association and when I mentioned you going to the Timpanogos festival he mentioned this guy. I loved the quote he had from him, that storytelling "is standup comedy for people with long attention spans"...lol.
