I know that there are millions of people in the world without electric dryers. I am grateful I am no longer one of them.

Oh, I feel your joy. A couple of years ago, my dryer died in June. I waited until the Labor day sales to get a new one. It makes such a HUGE diffrence in your day to be able to just throw things in the dryer (especially since we were in an apartment and I couldn't dry outside!)
It's been raining so much here I haven't hung things out - I've been doing the laundromat (ack!). Not having a dryer is a BAD thing.
